The program fosters strong, mutual relationships between Australia and people and communities across the Indo-Pacific to contribute to achieving equitable development outcomes. The Australian Volunteers Program partners with organisations in 26 countries across the Indo-Pacific region. Our partners include non-government organisations and other civil society organisations, government agencies, educational institutions, private sector and social enterprises and humanitarian organisations. To support our partners across a range of sectors, we are looking for volunteers with diverse skills and experience including expertise in monitoring, evaluation, and learning. Volunteer assignments can be in-country or remote and range from three months to two years depending on the needs our partners. Over the past two years, we’ve successfully launched remote volunteering which has continued to provide much needed support to our partners during the pandemic.Remote volunteering offers flexible short-term assignments to volunteers looking to make a difference, but not looking to move overseas. Australian volunteers are supported through travel, living and accommodation allowances so they can focus on building relationships with colleagues and on the goals of the assignment.
